• Nebulisers
Nebuliser is a device that converts drug solution into a mist or aerosol of very tiny fine particles that are ready for direct inhalation into the lungs.

Nebulisers are commonly used in the treatment of lung diseases and severe respiratory conditions, such as asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), emphysema, cystic fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
Nebulisers are powerful devices that deliver nebulised medication right into the airways of the lungs. Importantly, nebulisers can deposit the fine particles of medication in specific target areas of the airways in the lungs.
When purchasing a nebuliser, it is crucial to consider the size of the particles a nebuliser produces as well as the state of the patient’s lungs and the breathing pattern. The size of the nebulised particles can be very important for the nebulised drugs to penetrate the lungs sufficiently deeply.
Inhaling nebulised medication offers many therapeutic advantages. These include a rapid onset of action of the inhaled drugs and a targeted delivery to the correct parts of the airways. Also very importantly, because nebulised drugs are given in much smaller doses when compared with oral administration, there can be fewer side effects, whilst therapeutic efficacy remains equal or greater. Reduction in side effects without loss of efficacy is important, as many patients undergo aerosol therapy several times per day.
