Motion sickness is very common during travel and affects many people. When motion sickness strikes, it can be unpleasant and uncomfortable and can take the joy out of a journey.

How does TravelMate Motion Sickness Relief Device work?

TravelMate 700 employs innovative electrostatic field that helps to reduce the feeling of motion related sickness. TravelMate is worn on the left inside wrist to deliver electrostatic pulses and vibration to acupoints on the inside of the wrist. These acupoints have been suggested by traditional eastern medicine to affect the nerve stimulation between the brain and the stomach and to promote relaxation.

TravelMate is non invasive and non addictive and has no side effects. TravelMate aims to deliver a drug free solution to symptoms of motion sickness associated with travel by boat, ship, plane, car, bus or coach. However, you should note that the TravelMate does not cure nausea, vomiting, or any underlying cause of such symptoms. The relief it provides varies for each individual and is not to be substituted for any medication or treatment prescribed by your physician. TravelMate simply helps to relieve the nauseating feeling caused by motion.   
 
A study carried out at a Guangzhou University followed a total of 120 subjects with motion sickness history. All subjects started wearing the TravelMate device 30 minutes prior to boarding. At the end of the trip, 23 subjects experienced no nausea, 80 subjects felt reduction in nausea and 12 subjects still had normal nausea symptom. The study concluded that the TravelMate device can help people experiencing motion related symptoms.  

Using TravelMate Motion Sickness Relief Device   

Travel Mate is easy to use. Simply wear it on your left hand wrist like a watch during travel. For best results, you should activate TravelMate 30 minutes before commencing your trip. You will see that a green flashing LED light that indicates the TravelMate is functioning properly. You can then adjust the intensity of the pulses and add the vibration. After 45 minutes of use, the TravelMate will switch itself off automatically. 

TravelMate is battery powered. When the battery power gets low, the LED indicator on the device will flash an orange light. Based on the daily use of the TravelMate on medium intensity setting in 25% relative humidity and 21 degrees C (70 degrees F) temperature, the battery life is circa 3 - 4 months.
