PalmLaser Pro is the state of the art phototherapy laser that delivers high performance and efficacy, unparalleled safety and ease of use in a hand held portable laser. PalmLaser Pro has twice the power of PalmLaser for much faster phototherapy. PalmLaser Pro delivers combined effects of red (650 nm) and infrared (808 nm) biostimulating laser light.  
PalmLaser Professional incorporates two lasers - red and infrared - that provide the best tissue penetration for maximum therapeutic outcomes in treating of problems, such as open wounds, skin lesions and leg ulcers and deeper located problems, such as bruising and hematomas, fractures and inflammation of periosteum. The red laser penetrates the tissues up to 10 mm depth, whilst the infrared laser reaches as far as 60 mm and beyond.

PalmLaser Pro is a powerful phototherapy laser that emits effective therapeutic biostimulating laser light. Best results are achieved by regular treatment application repeated 2 - 3 times per week. PalmLaser Pro therapy can be applied as a stand alone monotherapy or as a complementary treatment alongside other therapies, such as physiotherapy, massage and medication. PalmLaser Pro is very simple and the treatment can be self administered. Alternatively, a therapist or a spouse can perform it, if reaching of a remote area (i.e. lower back or a shoulder) presents a problem due to reduced patient mobility. User manual enclosed with PalmLaser Pro is easy to follow and includes guidance on indications and recommended treatment times.

Laser Phototherapy Treatment Frequency:

Experience with laser phototherapy (LLLT - low level laser therapy) has shown that moderate doses of laser light applied 3 - 4 times per week achieve better outcomes than high doses applied less frequently.

Laser light has a cumulative effect, which means that individual doses accumulate if the energy generated by the laser light in tissues is not used up between treatments. Depending on the indication, there should be a short gap of 1 - 2 days between treatments.

Acute pain should be treated daily.

Chronic pain should be treated no less than 3 times per week, gradually reducing to 1 - 2 treatments per week.

Same treatment rules apply to all treatments aiming to regenerate or recondition compromised or diseased tissues for greater strength and vitality.

When desired treatment outcomes are achieved, maintenance regime should be initiated to prevent relapse of the condition or return of the symptoms.

PalmLaser Pro Phototherapy Treatment Method:

Using PalmLaser Pro Phototherapy Laser is very easy. PalmLaser Pro is perfect for self treatments.

Simply hold the PalmLaser Pro laser in your hand with the diffuser resting on the skin and move the laser over the treated area very slowly in circular or linear motion. Moving the laser very slowly is crucial for giving tissues sufficient time to absorb the laser energy.

If you are treating deeply located pain, you should press the PalmLaser Pro diffuser gently into the tissue to help the laser beam reaching greater depth. Applying gentle pressure reduces the distance between the surface of the skin and the exact location of the pain, thus improving deep tissue penetration. 

If you are treating problems on the surface of the skin, an open wound or a superficial laceration, aim to hold the laser diffuser about 1 - 2 cm away from the surface of the skin.

If the treated wound is weeping or showing signs of infection, wrap the diffuser in a cling film or place in a clear polythene bag (i.e. sandwich bag) prior to the treatment. Discard the cling film or the plastic bag appropriately after you have completed the treatment. This will help you prevent spreading of infections.       

Laser Phototherapy Side Effects: Laser phototherapy is safe and free of side effects. Laser phototherapy treatments are painless and can be very relaxing. Phototherapy lasers do not produce heat or heat up tissues.          

Contraindications to laser phototherapy: Common sense dictates that laser phototherapy should not be used in the following situations, unless agreed by a doctor: In pregnant women over the pregnant uterus. In cancer sufferers. Over the heart area in people with heart disease. In people with fitted cardiac pacemaker. In people presenting with thyroid dysfunction. In people presenting with undiagnosed skin changes and skin growths. In people with epilepsy.
