ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG is a personal non invasive hand held standard heart monitoring device utilising 'Modified Lead 1 - ECG' measurements that are normally obtained from the traditional Lead I ECG signal. ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG allows you to measure and record electrical activities of your heart. ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG is a convenient and easy to use pocket ECG that traces, measures and records the electrical signals generated in your heart via 2 built in electrodes (conductive plates). ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG displays the measured parameters instantly and digitally on its LCD screen.

Using ReadMyHeart Analytical Software, you can transfer all the measurements taken with the ReadMyHeart to a personal computer through a simple USB connection. You can store the measurements, edit them, print them or even transmit them electronically directly to your doctor for interpretation.

What does the ReadMyHeart ECG Monitor do

One of the most common methods of detecting heart problems is a painless procedure called electrocardiography or the ECG. The procedure is carried out on a machine - an electrocardiograph - that records and graphically presents the electrical impulses generated in the heart muscle each time the heart beats. The ECG aids doctors in diagnosing of heart arrhythmias and abnormalities (i.e. enlarged or stressed hearts) as well as allows them to detect remaining signs of previously suffered heart attacks.

ReadMyHeart ECG Monitor is not a complex ECG machine used by doctors in hospitals. ReadMyHeart has been specially designed to provide a simple ECG monitoring at home for professional interpretation by medical specialists.

ReadMyHeart is not a substitute for a standard electrocardiogram (ECG) diagnosis - it is only an ECG recorder. It cannot tell you that you are suffering heart problems - it is your doctor that can make a diagnosis on the basis of your ECG measurements taken with the ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG. 
  
ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG is a non-invasive personal hand held monitoring device, designed for an easy use at home. ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG is not a diagnostic device, but serves as a recording unit that measures and records electrical activities of the heart. ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG is a light, small and portable machine that can be carried around and used conveniently and discreetly anytime and anywhere.  

Using ReadMyHeart ECG Monitor

ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG is simple to use. There are no skin electrodes, leads, wires or conductive gels. ReadMyHeart has 2 conducting plates built into the surface of the lightweight unit. The measurements are taken, when you place your thumbs on the conductive plates.

Another way of taking ECG reading with ReadMyHeart is to connect self adhesive auxillary electrodes to your arms. This method can be preferable for some people or when using thumbs or hands is not possible.

ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG measures, records and presents the following parameters:

• Heart Rate (HR)
• ST Segment - this segment can help with the identification of certain cardiac problems (i.e. myocardial infarction, ischaemia)
• QRS Interval - this segment corresponds with the currents that cause the contractions of both the ventricles

ReadMyHeart ECG Parameter Reference Range

• Heart Rate (HR): 60 ~ 100 beats / minute
• ST Segment (ST): - 2 ~ +2 mm
• QRS Interval: 0.08 ~ 0.12 seconds

TheReadMyHeart parameter readings are not the same as the ECG readings obtained from the traditional ECG machines, which require at least 3 electrodes to be connected to the human body. Instead, the readings presented by the ReadMyHeart ecg are defined as 'Modified Lead 1 - ECG' measurements and are equivalent to the standard ECG Lead One measurements.

The readings as presented by the ReadMyHeart Handheld ECG need only 30 seconds of measuring time during which 15 seconds of the 'modified ECG signals' are recorded and displayed instantly on the LCD screen. The ReadMyHeart is capable of storing up to 30 records.  

ReadMyHeart ECG Analytical Software

The software enables the users to manage ECG recording with time stamped record as well as print, fax or e-mail the readings. During the analysis of the readings on the PC, in addition to the recording displayed on the LCD screen of the device, also the PR and QT/QTc will be shown.

ReadMyHeart Analytical Software is compatible with Windows98 and 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Vista.
