TENS Machines

TENS machines relieve all types of pain. TENS machines are medical devices that stimulate sensory nerve endings to block the pain signals from reaching the pain centre located in the brain. Additionally to blocking of the pain, TENS stimulate production of endorphins that cause the feeling of wellbeing. TENS therapy has been researched for many years and is proven to be effective and safe for home use. In the TENS section we present to you a wide selection of advanced and affordable TENS machines available from Win Health.

TENS Therapy with TENS Machines

TENS - Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation - Tens Machines

Tens machines are electrotherapy devices for pain relief. Tens machines are used for many years successfully by many people to treat pain.

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) has been designed to stimulate sensory nerve endings in order to decrease perception of pain. The electric stimulus emitted by a tens machine blocks pain signals that travel from peripheries along the nerves to the central nervous system. Additionally, Tens machine stimulation of the nerve fibres with mild electrical impulses can modify pre-existing sensations and change our perception of discomfort and pain.

Endorphins are naturally produced chemical substances that change sensory perception and normalize sympathetic function. Endorphins are commonly known for inducing a feeling of wellness.

The most recent innovation in TENS therapy machines is the Cefaly. Cefaly Cranial TENS utilises TENS therapy principles in a novel design applied to forehead and acting on the ophthalmic branch of the trigeminal nerve to treat and prevent migraines, headaches and stress.

TENS therapy and TENS machines play an important role in pain relief. TENS therapy is simple and easy to perform. Self adhesive skin electrodes placed on the skin deliver electric stimuli to the treated areas. Electric signals can be felt as a sensation on the skin and tissues below the skin. The TENS machine user can adjust the intensity of the signal felt to personal acceptability level and comfort required.

TENS therapy is effective and you can choose your TENS machine and TENS accessories by personal preference and considering TENS device or accessory specifications, features and benefits.
