Calibration and long term maintenance of Meike PBS V 4.1 Bladder Scanner

Palm Bladder Scanner V 4.1 does not require servicing for the first 6 years of use and therefore there are no extra servicing costs or fees. Calibration can be done easily in-house without extra costs associated with calibration and maintenance contracts. A selection of different packages (see above) is available and an appropriate package can be chosen to suit the requirements and budgets of individual institutions or users.

When purchased with own brand of phantom bladder (Packages 1 and 2), the scanner can be easily calibrated in-house. Calibration is simple and quick and should be performed once a year. In-house training is provided to those purchasing the scanner with the on-site training package. Alternatively, a calibration training video and easy to follow calibration guidance in user manual and reference manual enables calibration to be performed in-house, utilising own brand of bladder phantom included with most packages.

However, when required – the bladder scanner can be sent to us for calibration at the cost of £150.00 + VAT (£180.00), including return shipping.

Other than calibration, there are no other maintenance requirements for the first 6 years. There is a mandatory technical inspection by the manufacturer trained qualified person at 6 years of bladder scanner use. Following the one off 6 yearly inspection, the scanner can be put into the use again and calibrated annually as previously (i.e. during use in the first 6 years of clinical applications).

The Palm Bladder Scanner has excellent warranty terms. The main unit carries 3 years warranty, whilst the probe has 1 year warranty. During warranty, repairs (if required) are carried out at our premises. If the device develops a problem when covered by the warranty, please contact us to arrange replacement or repair as appropriate. Out of warranty repairs will be done at our premises. The charge will consist of the replacement parts cost, time required to carry out the repair and the cost of return shipping. Please call us in the first instance for a quotation and further instructions. Please note that unless we can repair your bladder scanner and return it to you immediately, we provide a replacement scanner for the duration of repairs, so that you do not lose valuable scanning time, causing costly inconvenience to your ward, clinic or hospital and importantly, to your patients.

At the end of its life, Palm Bladder Scanner should be disposed of safely in accordance with waste disposal regulations. Alternatively, Palm Bladder Scanner can be returned to us for disposal under our WEEE Waste Disposal Scheme.

Please note: The ultrasonic probe should be treated with care to prevent impact related damage and lack of due care related damage, which are not covered by the warranty.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by mistreatment, neglect, abuse, misuse or damage caused by lack of due care during use.
