Vascular Health Assessment Scale

The vascular monitor uses a scale from 1 – 6 to classify the vascular health.

  1. Level 1: Artery and blood circulation in excellent condition
  2. Level 2: Artery and blood circulation in good condition
  3. Level 3: Artery and blood circulation in above average condition
  4. Level 4: Artery and blood circulation in average condition
  5. Level 5: Artery and blood circulation in below average condition
  6. Level 6: Artery and blood circulation in poor condition

The 1 – 6 scale measurements taken are shown as a numerical value and as a visual image of a blood vessel.

Using the Medi Direct Vascular Health Monitor with Pulse Oximeter

Vascular Health Monitor provides useful indication of vascular health and helps you to stay aware of potential issues that may be developing. This monitor is for reference only and you must consult your doctor for medical advice about your personal vascular condition and for further information on vascular health!        

Medi Direct Vascular Health Monitor is easy to use and produces readings fast. The monitor resembles standard oximeter and is similar in its finger application. Please note: You should not use the monitor immediately after exercising.  

  1. Prior to use, read user instructions and familiarise yourself with the features of the device and manufacturer’s recommendations. Ensure that the 2 AAA batteries are inserted correctly. 
  2. Switch on the monitor using the power button located on the front of the device.
  3. Insert your middle finger on the left-hand in. Rest your hand, relax, stay still and wait for the measurements to complete. Please note that moving the hand during measurements may compromise the results.   
  4. After circa 8 seconds, the monitor displays oxygen saturation level (SpO2), heart rate and pulse strength. Please note that oxygen levels below the minimum threshold of 90 will trigger beeping alarm and a flashing icon.
  5. After 30 seconds to 2 minutes, the monitor displays vascular health level as a number between 1 – 6. After your finger is removed from the device, the display gives a visual indication of your vascular health, based on the number measured.
  6. After 8 seconds, the monitor automatically shuts off.

Please note that if measurements fail, the monitor displays a fail symbol “= = “. If sensor malfunctions, Error message is displayed.   

Please note: Remove the batteries from the battery compartment, if the monitor is to be unused for a long time and prior to storage.
