When to Use the IH 51 Nebuliser

The Beurer IH 51 is designed to provide relief and support in managing upper and lower respiratory health problems such as colds, sinus infections, asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia and other lung-related conditions. It delivers medication as an aerosol mist which is inhaled directly into the lungs for faster results.

Using the Beurer IH 51 – Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Clean and disinfect the medication container and atomiser set before first use
2. Charge the nebuliser battery using the USB-C cable included with the device – follow the step by step charging instruction detailed in user manual
3. Fill the medication container – maximum recommended filling quantity is 10 ml 
4. Close the medication container as described in user manual
5. Connect the part of the atomiser set that you wish to use (mouthpiece, adult mask or child’s mask)
6. Sit comfortably, start the device and begin inhaling the mist.
7. Continue treatment until the medication is fully nebulised.
8. Turn off the device and disconnect the parts after use.
9. Please note that IH 51 is not suitable for continuous operation. After 20 minutes of use it must be switched off for 40 minutes. The most effective inhalation is when using the IH 51 nebuliser with mouthpiece. Using the mask is only recommended when use of mouthpiece is not possible – such as when nebulising children not yet able to use the mouthpiece. When inhaling with mask, ensure that the mask fits well and the eyes are not covered by the mask.
10. Please remember that for health reasons, the essential oils, cough mixtures, gargling solutions and drops for rubbing into the skin or for use in steam baths are unsuitable for inhalation with a nebuliser!
11. Keep the nebuliser as vertical as possible during inhalation. Ensure that the medication is in contact with the mesh for proper functioning during use.
12. Only use the nebuliser for treatment of respiratory diseases after consultation with a doctor, who will recommend or prescribe the suitable medication and dosage. Only liquids and medications indicated for inhalation may be used!

Cleaning and Care Instructions

• Beuer IH 51 has an automatic switch off function. It will switch off automatically when the medication or liquid left is no longer in contact with the mesh.
• Please read and follow easy to understand cleaning and hygiene maintaining instructions from the manufacturer included in user manual.
• Use soft water or distilled water for all cleaning steps except for self-cleaning.
• Disassemble the nebuliser by following easy steps described in user manual.
• After each use, disassemble the nebuliser parts and clean and air dry them completely before reassembling as recommended in user manual.
• After all parts are clean and dry, perform the self-cleaning function as described in user manual to remove medication residues and any blockages.
• Store the device in a clean, dry place inside the provided storage bag.
