HipSaver SlimFit Soft Hip Protector Information:

HipSaver SlimFit is available in a regular model for women and with a fly front for men. The women's version comes in white or beige, while the men's version is available in white only. HipSavers are durable and easy to care for; they are "Wash, Dry, and Go" garments, meaning they are machine washable at 95°C and can be tumble-dried on medium heat until dry and ready to wear. Washing at 95°C is essential when HipSavers are used in care homes or hospitals, where high-temperature washing is required for hygiene.

For home use, wash your HipSavers in the same way you wash other personal garments. HipSavers are compatible with incontinence protection such as pads, diapers, and personal incontinence pants. The protective HipSaver airPads are permanently sewn into the garment over the hips. These airPads are watertight and machine washable at 95°C, so there is no need to remove them before washing. You can also tumble-dry them on medium heat. Most people require three pairs of HipSavers: one to wear, one in the wash, and one ready to wear.

Fabric Composition: 46% polyester, 46% cotton, 8% spandex. Note that HipSaver Soft Hip Protectors contain no latex components.

How to measure for HipSaver size:

To measure for the appropriate size, measure around the hips at the level of the upper thighs (trochanter areas). The trochanteric area is located by feeling for the hip bone, which can be identified when raising the knee. Ensure you measure the body circumference over the trochanter hip bones, then compare this measurement with the size chart provided above. If you have a large tummy, consider ordering the next size up.

Please note: The trochanteric area is where hip fractures occur and requires protection. The hip should not be confused with the top of the pelvic bone, which is located higher, just under the waist, and more toward the front of the body. The pelvic bone does not move when the knee is raised.
