HipSaver Nursing Home Style TailBone features a comfortable and roomy interior for easy dressing and compatibility with all sizes of personal incontinence pads and diapers. The garment has an elasticised waistband and large leg openings that allows easy pull on and off for washing, dressing or toileting.
The protective airPads cover and protect trochanteric areas of the hips. The garment itself is made from double layer fabric to ensure secure accommodation of incontinence pads. The crotch is wide and accommodates incontinence pads snugly and safely and without causing discomfort to the user. The TailBone model also features a protective airPad over the tail bone (i.e. coccyx) to provide protection to elderly people with tendencies to fall backward or to sway, causing painful bumps and bruising to their backs.
HipSavers Nursing Home Style models are available in male and female models in stain and discolouration resistant beige colour. Both male and female models are made in 6 sizes.
To benefit from 24 hour protection, you should wear your HipSaver day and night. It is soft, comfortable and protective at all times, when worn!
HipSaver Nursing Home Style TailBone is available in a regular model for women and with simulated fly front for men. Both male and female models are made in practical beige from a robust but soft fabric. The fabric has a horizontal stretch that facilitates snug enveloping of the users body during wear. There is no vertical stretch in the fabric in order to secure safe positioning of the incontinence wear inside the garment.
HipSavers are easy to look after and durable. They are ‘Wash, Dry and Go’ garments, which means that HipSavers are fully machine washable at 95° C high temperatures and can be tumble dried on medium heat till dry and ready to wear. Compatibility with high temperature wash at 95° C is essential, when HipSavers are used in care homes or hospitals, where washing at high temperatures is a requirement of strict hygiene and infection prevention regulations.
When washing HipSaver Nursing Home Style TailBone at home, wash your HipSavers in the same way as your other personal garments or as required for best hygiene..
Please note that the protective HipSaver airPads are permanently sewn into the garment in the areas over the hips. The airPads are watertight and machine washable at high 95° C temperatures. You do not remove the airPads from the garment prior to washing as it is fully washable at 95° C and can be tumble dried at medium heat.
Most people require 3 pairs of HipSavers – one pair worn, one in a wash and one ready to wear. People with a very high degree of incontinence may require more than 3 garments, depending on the frequency of garment changes and laundry availability.
Fabric composition: 46% polyester, 46% cotton, 8% Spandex. Please note that there are NO latex components in HipSaver Soft Hip Protectors!

To measure for appropriate HipSaver size, you need to measure around for the hip – the circumference measurement around the body at the level of the upper thighs (trochanter areas). The trochanter area can be recognised easily as it moves, when a person raises a knee up in a standing position.

VAT exemption is available, when purchased for personal use by people with relevant chronic conditions. VAT relief declaration must be completed online at the time of purchase.
