DermaSavers promote wellbeing by protecting fragile skin from external damage. DermaSaver Skin Protectors are personal protective arm sleeves and leg tubes. DermaSavers do not treat skin injuries, but can help to prevent skin injuries on the arms and legs, cased by minor bumps or interaction with objects in the close proximity (i.e. furniture edges or rough surfaces) during movements associated with activities of daily living.   

DermaSaver Shin Protectors are sleeve-like loose tubes worn on lower leg over the shin and calf. They are soft and comfortable to wear day and night. 

DermaSaver Shin Protectors are available in 2 variants:

1. DermaSaver Shin Protector
2. DermaSaver Shin and Knee Protector

DermaSaver Shin Protectors protect fragile skin on the arms from external damage caused by interaction with external environment, such as shears, friction, rubbing and prolonged pressure. Soft and non-constricting, DermaSaver Shin Protectors protect the skin from damage as well as help to heal existing problems by sheltering the problem area from further damage during healing process and maintaining optimum ventilation by comparison with standard dressings.

DermaSaver Skin Protectors can be purchased VAT Free by chronically ill registered disabled people.

DermaSaver Shin Protectors are tubular sleeves, breathable, comfortable and loose fitting for easy wear night and day. There are 5 sizes available to fit legs of all sizes. Made in practical light beige colour resistant to staining, DermaSavers are compatible with medicated skin preparations and fully machine washable for hygiene and convenience.

DermaSaver Shin and Knee Protector has been designed to loosely cover and protect the skin on the shin, calf and knee, allowing ample access to air flow. DermaSaver Shin and Knee Protector is especially helpful to people confined to wheelchairs as it protects the entire exposed area of the knee and the shin without preventing ventilation and the beneficial air flow reaching the skin.

1. X Small: 17.5 - 23 cm / 7 - 9 inches
2. Small: 23 - 30 cm / 9 - 12 inches
3. Medium: 30 - 37.5 cm / 12 - 15 inches
4. Large: 37.5 - 48 cm / 15 - 19 inches
5. X Large: 48 - 58 cm / 19 - 23 inches

To establish required DermaSaver Shin Protector size - simply measure the circumference at the widest part of the calf. For borderline measurements, choose the larger size for extra comfort.

Fabric composition: 86% polyester and 14% spandex. Latex free.

DermaSaver MicroSpring Textile

DermaSavers are made from breathable medical MicroSpring textile that replaces foam, gel and fleece. MicroSpring textile is cosy to touch, self-supporting, stretchy and naturally springy with thousands of microfilaments between 2 outer layers of soft breathable fabric per each square cm. The air is captured between the fabric layers and flows easily around the microfilaments, reaching the skin through the breathable fabric for constant soothing air ventilation.

Additionally, the MicroSpring textile has superior moisture wicking properties that facilitate fast transfer of moisture away from the skin, ensuring comfort and dryness that supports healing.   

MicroSpring textile fibre composition is 86% polyester and 14% spandex. There is no latex component in the MicroSpring fabric.

DermaSavers are compatible with medicated ointments, creams or lotions. Simply spread the preparation on the skin as needed, allow a short time for absorption to take place and then dress the leg with the DermaSaver by pulling the tube over the leg like a sleeve.

DermaSavers are fully machine washable at up to 95° C and can be air dried or tumble dried at high temperature for speed and convenience. The fabric will not crumble, crust or lose its integrity due to washing and tumble drying. Alternatively, DermaSavers can be air dried, if speed is not crucial. DermaSavers must not be dried on hot radiators.
